Plotlines come from the characters while the group supplements them with small updates about the world they inhabit. Big Data is mainly supported by the events hosted by the members, the content they create, and the roleplays/interactions they have within the group.
Plot-involved events are mainly episodic with the world returning to a status quo. Personal story exploration is encouraged!
Roleplay, writing, and art can be turned in for joss papers, which you can use to purchase items in the shop or donate to a community pool in order to unlock events.
Big Data does not have monthly events. The events are pre-written and unlocking the events require a certain amount of joss papers. It does not have to follow a linear order; donate to the events that appeal to you. The group will end after all the events have been completed.
Members are expected to keep track of their own logging/payout. Content to joss paper conversion rates can be calculated from the chart below:

For clarity, group-roleplays will be called 'episodes'.
Pursue your own storylines and mechanics by hosting your own episodes. These run like DND-sessions and can span a single sitting or over a few days.
After (5) episodes you may change your OC’s crime coefficient by 2-5 points (optional), otherwise the only times you will be able change your character’s crime coefficient is through mod-events. @ me in the questions channel with any changes made to your OC’s crime coefficient
Every week begins with an IC-prompt that gives updates on the world. This includes weather reports, crimes and incidents, or special broadcasts.
Primarily, the channel is intended for you to give updates on your roleplays/interactions/statuses of your characters. This is a way for members to stay informed without having to follow every roleplay. Post here to make your roleplays/developments/interactions canon if you have been primarily roleplaying in private.
(If you have been in my previous group, this is Big Data’s version of #grapevine)
It’s nice to scroll back and see everything that your OC has completed over the course of an event!
A timeline event will have data on the hue, crime coefficient, and a local weather report. It will also provide a mental health tip of the week, to help reach or maintain that a clear hue.
Keep these figures in mind when creating your own timeline update.
Alternatively, you can leave these items up to mod discretion.
